Superheroes are real and I see them every day. Since my childhood, I have loved animations, especially cartoon characters portraying superheroes. I mean, who doesn’t? Superman and Superwoman were my favorites followed by the Flash and many more.
The powers of these animated superheroes come into play on screens and comic books written with great endings. Their stories are staged and the superheroes are prepared to face all challenges in already-planned and well-orchestrated ways. But the superheroes I see every day are real, and they don’t get enough credit for all they do.
The real superheroes are myself, you reading this, and every other human out there. Do you know the incredible things we accomplish every day? We are the most courageous, persistent, fascinating, and unstaged superheroes until the end of time.
The Superheroes
It is beautiful and I am proud to say that I am the first incredible superhero I see every morning when I wake up. Look at how far I have come, I can’t stop thinking about this every time. I can’t imagine how I conquered all the villains that came my way in different forms, I don’t wield mystical hammers, shoot lasers out of my fist, or fly with capes, but I am one of the greatest existing superheroes and so are you.
My incredible powers are my faith and belief in God no matter what comes my way, resilience, compassion, innovative thinking, ability to push boundaries tirelessly, and never giving up. These have helped me cross many oceans that tried to swallow me whole. I am proud of myself for these abilities that yield my daily success.
Another characteristic of a superhero as we all know is saving others, which I love to do selflessly. I love to assist others as much as possible and in every capacity available to me. I have gladly motivated and inspired a lot of people and stretched out my helping hands in so many ways, and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. The breath of relief from those that I assist in different ways daily, no matter the magnitude, helps ignite my life purpose. I will continue my superhero acts in this journey of life while I write about my fellow superheroes.
Mothers
Mothers are superheroes with the nurturing power of creation. They birth other humans into this world, care for them, and nurture them to grow into superheroes themselves. In doing this, mothers experience various challenges and they overcome them in different stages. Noteworthy to mention the extreme superheroes “career women and mothers”, they conquer challenges, villains, emotions, stress, and other vices at home and work daily.
Mothers have the superpower of unconditional love, the healing power of comfort, wisdom of infinite patience, selflessness, and perseverance. Mothers have the superhero power of multitasking and accomplishing a variety of things daily and also possess the time-defying energy. Kudos to all mothers. You all are the real MVPs.
Fathers
Supportive and loving fathers are our Superheroes. Despite the expectations and responsibilities lying on their shoulders, they remain strong and resilient, and they persevere a great deal. Superheroes leap tall buildings in a single bound, fathers shield their families with strength and courage from challenges and dangers. Just like the superheroes who shield the innocent from harm, fathers are the steadfast protector of their families.
Fathers possess the superhero powers of providing guidance that shapes the destinies of their children. Fathers teach life lessons, impart wisdom, and are consistently a steady hand to hold. Their influence echoes through the milestones and challenges of their children’s lives.
Other superhero powers of fathers are multitasking and seamlessly juggling responsibilities at work and home, managing multiple crises simultaneously, balancing careers, family commitments, and personal growth.
Kids
Little beautiful angels that are brought into this world. They grow up being superheroes themselves. Kids possess the superhero powers of unfiltered imagination and mostly facilitate discoveries and innovation. Like superheroes facing ever-shifting challenges, children demonstrate incredible resilience in the face of change.
Children grow up navigating changing environments and adapting to unfamiliar situations. When villains in various forms show up, they overcome and bounce back with enthusiasm and curiosity. This is the superhero power of adaptability.
Children also possess the superhero power of curiosity. This propels them to ask questions, explore the unknown, and fearlessly embrace the adventure of discovering the wonders that surround them. We were all kids and through a lot of incredible superhero powers, we have grown into magnificent superheroes.
We are all Superheroes
Thank you for reading until this point. You are one of the strongest superheroes ever. Sit for a moment to imagine all the villains you have been able to conquer all through life’s journey. At home, at all levels of your educational journey, family, career, learning various skills, and in your everyday living, you have successfully exhibited various superhero powers.
Please give yourself super credit for being one of the most incredible superheroes ever lived. You may not have capes that are visible, but you have special powers that help you survive the day-to-day grind of being a superhuman.

We are all indeed Superheroes. Wonderful read Chidinma
This is a soul-lifting piece of writing. Now, I consider myself a superhero and I’ll keep trying to live up to that.
Truly, what we pass through in life can either make or mar us, hence it lies in our hands to decide what we want to achieve and follow it through to a great extent.
Thank you so much for this edifying writeup. Please, keep it up.
Awesome!
Makes one see things from a different perspective, like in Mariah Carey song
“And you finally see the truth that a hero lie in you”. 💪
Truly.
Little did I know that I stand all day in front of the mirror looking at a super hero who without special weapons have overcome tons of valiants and most importantly conquering unharmed…
We owe ourselves a handshake of honour for being strong and resilient at all times.
A good read you have here
Dear Desmond, I am happy this post inspired you to see yourself as the superhero you are.
Thought-provoking, inspiringly motivational, and beautifully crafted.
Though I have my reservations and objections to some of your postulation in the above article, that will be a discussion for another day.
Kudos to you, my pink barbie
